Woot, woot! Girls’ Day Out is right around the corner. And have we got a doozie of a day planned for you single ladies, teens, and girls!
Join us at Faith Tabernacle (get directions) and come prepared to “Reach“! Dress comfy and casual and be ready for the fun, which begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 14th, 2015.
There is no cost to attend (a love offering will be received). Mothers/chaperons of young teens and girls are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun too!
Fun and Games
Heading up Fun Time is our own Sis. Janel Rogers. Come prepared for team games, physical activities, and a lot of laughs!
Leading worship service is Sis. Anna Beth Bernard ( Boyd Holiness Church of God), accompanied by several dedicated musicians. Following the worship service, we will dismiss into age-appropriate workshops.
Sis. Kristy Howard (pastor’s wife at our host church, Faith Tabernacle) will challenge our little sisters, ages 6-12, in an illustrative and practical way to become outward focused.
Meanwhile, teen girls ages 13-17 will be joining Sis. Janel Rogers (assistant women’s leader at Faith Tabernacle) for a time of discussion, interaction, and brainstorming about what it means for young ladies to “Reach Out”.
Sis. Julie Smith (pianist at Faith Tabernacle), will be sharing practical encouragement, from her heart and life experience, for single ladies ages 18 and up. What would you do if you were handed the gift of your dreams?
What is a Girls’ Gathering without food?? To replenish and strengthen the bodies of all attendees, we look forward to enjoying our own trail mix creations from a Trail Mix Buffet. So, everyone, please bring a mason jar (any size) full of your favorite trail mix ingredient.
Here are some suggestions to get your creative juices flowing:
Nuts (peanuts, pecans, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, etc.)
Dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, banana chips, shredded coconut, papaya, mango, pineapple, etc.)
Seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, corn nuts, edamame, etc.)
Crunch (mini pretzels, corn/rice Chex cereal, granola, popcorn, etc.)
Sweets (M&Ms, mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, yogurt/chocolate covered raisins, dark chocolate espresso beans, etc.)
Everyone is welcome to head over to Rosa’s Cafe to enjoy lunch together. Bring some extra cash for your meal if you include this rendezvous in your plans.
